Swap My City Pad have joined forces with ProudHouse. Proudhouse photograph stylish homes and feature them in glossy magazines such as Ideal Home and Living Etc. Over the next month they are on the lookout for homes like yours - from the contemporary to the rural retreat, from the architecturally designed to the traditional and those in between. If you are based in London and/or within the M25 area then they want to hear from you.
They are also offering the first 10 homes featured EITHER a £50 voucher for the shop of your choice OR for business owners, an opportunity to mention your business in the magazine feature, thereby creating a fantastic national PR opportunity.

What will happen on the day of photography
The photographer and stylist will arrive at your home in the morning and will spend around 6 hours photographing a selection of rooms depending on which rooms the magazine requires. There may be some styling required; such as adding fresh flowers, some props for the table, extra scatter cushions, etc. In this case they will bring these items along with them.They may also need to move less bulky pieces of furniture into position so that they sit better within the shot eg. an armchair closer to the sofa, or a side table moved. They will of course do this with the greatest of care.
Where possible ProudHouse photograph in daylight as this gives a great quality to the finished shot. However they may need to add lighting in which case will need to plug photographic lights into your electric sockets.
ProudHouse will require you and if possible your family to be in the shot. However, if you feel particularly shy a willing neighbour could always double up for you!
They want to hear about your story with regards to your home - where you bought items from - what building work you had done - any funny stories - any hiccups etc. So they will sit down with you during the day and write down your story for the feature.
